Vision

At Preston Candover CE Primary, our vision is based on the belief that all children can succeed and that it is our duty to inspire learning for life. We believe that by teaching children to Encourage each other and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11), we can ensure all in our school community flourish and live the best lives they can for themselves and for others.

Aims

At our school, we aim to:

• enable every child to meet their potential intellectually, morally, spiritually and physically in a caring Christian environment.
• develop learners who show mutual respect and make a positive contribution to society.
• inspire our children to become life-long learners who are equipped to apply their learning in a diverse and rapidly changing world.

Values

A value is a principle that guides our thinking, behaviour and actions. At our school, we have three core values that are firmly rooted in Christian narrative: Love, Hope and Justice. The children, staff, parents and governors of our school have chosen these values. They are at the foundation of how we shape the attitudes of our children to learning and to life in the wider community. They permeate all areas of school life through learning, religious education, prayer, worship and action. 

We live our core values, cultivating character in our children, through the teaching of virtues. These virtues link to one of the core values in the following way:

Mission statement

Preston Candover CE Primary School aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.  It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers all its pupils.
